Hole in the Floor

I was making room on my bookcase, standing on a somewhat soft section of the floor. Then WHOMP! My foot fell through. Now there's a small hole in a corner of my living room floor.

I'm reluctant to tell my landlord about this, for two reasons:

1. He'll tell me I've got to move out for six months while he replaces the floor.
2. He'll find a way to blame it on me. Believe me, I know how landlords think. "You fell through the floor? Well, you oughta lose weight! It's all your fault for eating too much junk food. I'm gonna throw you out on the street and make sure my next tenant is an anorexic."

Damn landlords.
