Same Planet, Different Worlds

Kimberly really enjoys life's simple pleasures, as I was reminded last night. I told her about this discussion of Escape From New York, McGuffins and remakes, at Robin Laws's LJ. Kim had never heard the term "McGuffin."

Kim: "Mm, I love muffins. I want one."
Me: **blink** "That's 'McGuffin,' not 'muffin,' honey."
Kim: "Well, could a muffin be a McGuffin?"
Me: "Uh ... sure, I guess."
Kim: "Then I want a Muffin McGuffin. I'm gonna get one."
Me: "That'd have to be one hell of a good muffin, though."

My adorable little GF left for Dunkin Donuts and her baked goods. No idea if anyone chased her.
