Olbermann's over-the-top comments and hyperbole tend to alienate me. Angle is crazy, though Reid is a cowardly weenie who threw Cordoba House under the bus to score points.
As for social security privatization, it's not feasible right now. I do think that if it was feasible, I would support allowing people a variety of choices, similar to the military's Thrift Savings Plan, which allows me a few chances of how to invest and is not going straight to Wall Street, and Government securities as the default. Obviously, we need to keep the status quo, because of upcoming retirees.
His litany will fire up his listeners, but will it reach to people who can be affected? I do admit I am completely turned off to Buck and Angle, but I was never really with them. I am a veteran and I have Aspergers, so fuck them both.
As for the 17th Ammendment, it is the law and has been for some time. I find that an odd cause as so many states with Republican Senators have Democrat-dominated legislatures, and California, Washington, Nevada, Illinois, etc. would not be swing elections if not for the 17th Amendment.
Of all the things he picks on O'Donnell for, that's it? She won't win, nor will the crazy guy from Delaware, and the only good thing I can say about Urquhart is that he has Scottish ancestry.
I also wonder about all the fools who speak so blithely about the 50s. It was merely a calm before a storm with taxes that were way too high. I do admit that I prefer fedoras and hombergs to baseball caps, and that protesters wore suits back then, but that's about all that I can say admirably about that era, and I like fashions from the 20s a lot more.
I prefer Crist to Rubio, but Rubio's comment cracked me up. I can tell he was a sportscaster, and he is way too over-the-top. I would be curious how he'd act as a Senator, though giving him or Chris Matthews filibuster power may not be the best idea.
