Big, Beautiful Things

My job will end in a few months, and there are a lot of things I'll miss about it, such as the awesome-quality printers at the office. I used the giant plotter to print 6-foot world maps for Contagion and Conquest; I used the Lexmark for my variant Starfarers of Cataan tiles. While I'll never replace the plotter, I wanted a high-quality printer to take the Lexmark's role.

So yesterday, feeling glum, I decided to blow a big wad of money (a reliable way to lift my spirits). I went to Circuit City and got one of those giant Hewlett-Packard printer/scanner/fax machine deals. The print quality isn't quite as good as the Lexmark, but it's damn close. (And I wasn't going to spend $2,000, which is what my boss paid for the office printer.) I printed some Pendarther maps this morning, and they are drop-dead gorgeous. Suddenly I'm a happy man.

Now, though, I've got a lot of computer accessories lying around, along with my two extra laptops. Anyone interested in an old scanner, an HP inkjet, or a Toshiba laptop? Just asking.

I expect one of my roommates might be interested in the laptop and the printer.

I would love a scanner, particularly with all the NZ photos I have to process. However, I'm far away and wouldn't be able to actually get it from you for another few months, so if someone else would prefer it, don't hesitate to pass it along and clear yourself out some space. :-)

Well, so far nobody has asked for it. I'll keep it around until you get back.

We have scanners, but a printer, particularly one compatible with a Toshiba laptop, would be really useful.

What are you looking for in the way of compensation?

*hugs*

No compensation is needed. At most, maybe you can pay me $20 for the extra ink cartridge I have lying around...

That would be just fine by me.

*hugs you*

I imagine I'm too late for the laptop, but.... Me me me me me!
